THE RESULTS

SUCCESS STORIES

Projects and improvements to Grand Canyon National Park are only possible thanks to the contributions of Grand Canyon Conservancy Members, donors, and the generous support from people like you!

Protect Endangered Species

Through donor support, Grand Canyon Conservancy has been able to protect populations of endangered species like the California Condor and Humpback Chub as well as restore vegetation and native habitats through a high-capacity, energy-efficient greenhouse.

Reduce Light Pollution

In 2019, Grand Canyon National Park was certified as an International Dark Sky Park by the International Dark-Sky Association thanks to our donors. We are continuing to retrofit light fixtures throughout the park to be dark-sky compliant and implementing new educational programming for visitors about the effects of light pollution and what makes Grand Canyon's night skies so special.

Enhance Historic Trails

Bright Angel Trail is one of the most iconic trails at Grand Canyon National Park. In 2013, this world-class trailhead received a much-needed makeover to bring shade structures, water filling stations, a paved parking lot, and restroom facilities to the tens of thousands of visitors that visit it yearly. This restoration project was made possible with the support of Conservancy donors.
